"Flybe frustrations "

I have recently moved to a new place of work and have to use Flybe regularly. Every single flight and that of my visitors, 14 in total, has either been cancelled, diverted or delayed in the past 4 months. What is happening to the company, are they in trouble? I feel I can no longer trust in their service which is very disappointing as I have used them for years.

"Nobody at Flybe speaks English as a"

Nobody at Flybe speaks English as a first language. Their call centre is in some eastern bloc country. They found it impossible to copy down my Chinese wife's name correctly, and I had to drive 50 miles to the airport to ask them to change it. The single Flybe rep. was 'on his break' and refused to come down and see me. Flybe offers the worst service of any company in the UK. If the ground staff is so abysmal, what on earth are their flight crews like? I will never, ever, use this company again.

"We booked a flight from manchester to"

We booked a flight from manchester to jersey ..we were delayed for 6 plus hours only to be told when at the gate that their was a miscommunication and our plane was not available and another had been allocated but was smaller..some people were not allowed on the flight and some were ..no-one gave any indication as to why. There were children crying and no one did anything ...we had to walk pass everyone else who did not get on after the flight attendee scanned our tickets saying if it is red you cant get on but green means u can board. It was appalling..police were called as people started to ask them why they were not told before this point. The pilot said once on that he was sorry and he had never experienced something so bad in all his years of flying ... he said we had to wait until ground staff figured out how to allocate/choose people from the ones left because we had 13 extra seats ..they eventually chose women and children and times checked in leaving 15 people at the gate... by that point i had ko confidence in flybe and started to think this was a flight destined to not reach its destination. We then had to wait for the other peoples bags to be removed from the flight and they watched us take off. Children and adults were visually upset and unsettled . When we eventually got there there was fog and we were unable to land ..the captain said he had enough fuel to do two laps and would dive down to see if he was allowed to land ...he was not obviously saferty comes first but we would have not been in this predicament if they had the original plane and not had their communication error ... once back in manchester we were treated by unfriendly uncaring staff. One man was flying back home with his two small girls and had nowhere to go after the one nights accommodation ..the girl who was supposed to be senior was very unfriendly and could not care less ... he asked to speak to her senior and she said she was it and refused to phone anyone else because they were at home and not on shift..one man that works for the airport said it is a shabby airline that is uncaring and had treated us appallingly..staff were refusing to give their last names and remained short .... the experience was the worst ever ... they also gave us a leaflet and refused to offer any rerouting and completly went againstvtheir policy .... holiday reuined ..one woman said flybe has ruined my holiday and the attendent said in a nasty manner ...well if that how u wanna say it and walked off we will not be booking anymore flights for u all ....

"Shame this website doesn't allow you to"

Shame this website doesn't allow you to leave zero stars. I'm unfortunately one of the people stuck with this airline in and out of cornwall. The trip home from Gatwick to Newquay is always late, I'm thinking Cornwall is the scapegoat for the terrible service... once it's running late we pay the price for getting the service to other destinations back on track. This morning, a bit of fog but then it's cornwall, we get fog here and Newquay airport is fully kitted out for this. Get to the airport at 6. The aeroplane had to land at exeter the night before due to the fog. So just get them to fly down in the morning? Far too simple. Would probably mean a delay to somewhere important like Manchester. We are eventually told the flight is cancelled as The plane isn't coming (what? The plane and crew are a 30 minutes away in Exeter) and we will be using a coach. At 10 to 10 the coach rolls out of the airport. An old banger of a coach. No charging points. So can't do any work. ETA? 4.30 into Gatwick. Flybe get a decent subsidy for this "service". It really is pathetic. I use these guys regularly. I really wish I didn't have to. UPDATE coach drive just said she knew the flight was cancelled at 7.30am. If they'd told us, we could have made alternative arrangements. Cynical company. Couldn't give two hoots.

"Delayed in Manchester with little"

Delayed in Manchester with little information. . We have been told it is due to issue with door and they are finding a part. A common tactic to avoid paying compensaton in my opinion. just before checking? Poor information and customer service. I don't believe a word! Thomson currently using this company for flights to Innsbruck. Why? Avoid at all costs and go with reliable airline. Flight cancelled on Manchester airport website. No information or update. Avoid this company at all costs. Disgraceful customer service.

"Don't fly with Flybe"

I landed in East Midlands Airport 4 days ago and quickly realized my luggage was not there. Went to customer service and was told to fill out a report sheet and that they'd get back to me shortly. FOUR DAYS later they have still not tracked my suitcase, have not bother calling me, and have not bothered emailing me wth updates. I had to be the one who is making the regular calls to them asking to be updated on the situation. The customer service agents seem extremly incompetent and indiffarent to the fact that I am stranded in a foreign countey with no cloths, and no necessities to get by. Tomorrow I have to take a train to another city, and my suitcase is still not tracked and I have not been reassured that there's some sort of light at the end of the tunnel. Thia is extrmely upsetting and has ruined my entire vacation trip. I will NEVER fly wih them again and will recommend that everyone else stay clear of them as well.

"Fly Be Delayed... Again"

I have never written a review before on any website about any company, but I am so appalled with Flybe that I feel I need to warn as many people as I can NEVER to book with them. Every time I have flown with them (only ever from Birmingham) the flight has been drastically delayed or cancelled. As I write this I am sitting waiting for a flight that I was bumped onto because mine was cancelled- this one is now two hours delayed and counting. No explanation, no apology, no one to talk to - appalling. Flybe it's about time you get your act together and provide the service your customers are paying you for.

Absolute joke of a company. Hoping someone with some money / business sense takes over soon otherwise it will be gone by 2020. Avoid unless you want the following: No service (customer support number doesn't ring after 4pm, 'live' flight data is not live) Flight cancellations Flight delays (everyday) Hidden fees Old aircraft Extra stress in your life

"Hand luggage restrictions - inconsistent enforcement"

Forced to check in hand luggage on return journey after pre paying to check in suitcase as told if took through security, would be charged £50, rather than £40 at check in. At gate, saw at least 5 hand luggage only passengers (i.e. not caught by check in staff) get told they had to check hand luggage into hold as too big but told not to worry as won't be charged!! No issue with restrictions as it's in T&Cs (albeit less generous than many others) but no issue on outbound journey and pure lack of consistency with enforcing policy. I had 23kg allowance and only used 14. Hand luggage was 9kg so could have been accepted within my weight limitations but more about number of bags (even though weight should dictate given heavier = more fuel). Stock response from Twitter team so clearly heard it all before.
