"Worst experience of my life"

We flew from Manchester to Amsterdam with this airline on a flight booked as a package through Love holidays, something we will never do again!!! We chose and paid extra for extra legroom seats separately, being fully aware that this meant sitting next to the emergency exit. We ticked online to accept this and again at online check in and confirmed verbally at boarding that we were happy to do this. As the plane was about to take off the hostess asked again if we were happy. Being an extremely nervous flyer, I often turn to humor as a coping strategy. I stated that I was but I wasn't sure if my partner was and laughed. She did not ask him directly but very abruptly and rudely told him to move. I explained that I was joking and he asked her to ask him but she refused. He was then told that if he did not move he would have to get off the plane. At this point the pilot came out of the cockpit and the ground staff boarded the plane. The pilot asked if he could move for take off and landing to keep the peace, which he had no choice but to accept. I have raised a complaint when returning to the UK and requested the cost of his seat to be refunded (as he only used it for around a third of the flight) as a gesture of goodwill for the complete embarrassment but they have refused. My advice...do not use Flybe if you have a sense of humor!!!!

"2nd flight from Glasgow to Southampton"

2nd flight from Glasgow to Southampton in two weeks and both have been delayed. I wouldn’t mind if they were delayed for genuine reasons! I have the feeling that it’s the airline that is penny pinching with their fleet... If you can tell me otherwise then please do? I am currently waiting in the lounge at the airport and the incoming flight from Southampton is scheduled for departure at 5.30pm, our flight time was scheduled for 6.30pm and it is now saying 7.20pm. Why could it have ever been scheduled for 6.30pm in the first place, as it takes an hour and 15 minutes. Let’s see if they can get 3 out of 3 delays when I fly again next week. It’s time you did better Flybe as this kind of service can only be tolerated for so long!!

Worst experience I have ever had Dear passenger, I would like to share my worst fly experience so far. Do not ever think to use this ridiculous pore company. You will bring on your head only problems because all its service is not in favor of the passenger but for them. Firs: their check-in period is 36 hours, short enough in case some problem emerges, to be solved. Second: On the gate, their staff meets you with a specially designed frame for the cabin luggage out of any manufacturer's standards so they can earn more from you ''legally''. Third: The airplane was a horrible experience with vibrations and load noise which made me scare will I arrive and land successfully at all. Nothing good I can say for this company. The only is: Do not use it!

At least D Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed people... my bag was fine flying out then deemed too big coming back... same plane. Isle of Man aviation are puppets on commission taking money off holiday makers leaving the island. It is little wonder tourism is slumping. My last time with this airline (FlyMaybe) as the locals call it due to their dreadful record of reliability, let’s hope it goes bust and a more creditable honest company move in. “There must be better, more honourable jobs for you to do” I suggested... “Traffic Warden, drowning kittens, or working for the Conservative party?”

"Staff good - App rubbish"

I disagree with the large number of reviews criticising the staff who we found to be courteous and helpful and who deserve more than the 2 stars I have given here - but the Flybe "experience" was dragged through the mud by the appalling Flybe app which dutifully displayed our boarding passes right up to the time they were actually needed when they disappeared - and then denied that we had any bookings. We wasted a lot of time trying to get the app to make sense - but failed and so fell back on getting the airport pass printers to get printed copies - which also failed to work - more time lost and we only got on the plane with moments to spare thanks to the calm and courteous help of the check in staff (Yes we HAD pre checked in but it was the only point of reference left to us) and a mad dash through Heathrow's Terminal 2 - which at our advanced ages was quite stressful (albeit probably comical to watch) So - staff good, plane OK but app shoukd be prefixed "cr"

Scam airline, they let you fly out with a bag and then do the whole it doesn’t fit routine when it clearly does to scam £35 off customers. I said I would never fly with them again but relented but this is honestly the last. Planes are more than half empty when ever I’ve boarded. Sincerely hope they go bust

"I couldn't agree more with the majority"

I couldn't agree more with the majority of the other reviewers. I was a victim of the cabin luggage scam on a recent return flight Glasgow to Belfast. Charged a total of £70 for a carry on case which overall was much smaller than the "allowed " dimensions. Attitude of some of the staff was appalling for a so called modern company. Hope the senior management are shown the door, with no golden goodbyes and a new team brought in with the benefit of the taxpayers bail out and repay our generosity.

"Why can't Flybe make their website reliable?"

I regularly fly with Flybe and like their service, which is good apart from being expensive. The greatest frustration is that the website is often not working. Given that they are a struggling airline and given that the website is the primary sales gateway it should function always. Do their new owners know that the website doesnt always work - it doesn't bode well for their chances of returning to profit. If the website is down I go straight to the "orange" airlines website (which always always works) and book a cheaper flight. Sort it out Flybe

"Unrealistic cabin baggage policy and very rude gate staff."

I was charged £35 for a cabin bag that has traveled with me on many Flybe flights in the past, it was just mm's too big for the gauge. I'm a frequent flyer and used Flybe on this occasion for my return journey from Manchester after flying with Easyjet from Spain. I know they have a smaller cabin allowance and purposely traveled with small bags for this journey, which is a real inconvenience in the first place. They used to be so understanding and always allowed a little tolerance on these issues, but the gate staff were so rude to many of us and on Christmas Eve as well. I have put up with numerous delayed and cancelled flights in the past from Flybe and this just takes the biscuit especially with how rude the staff were with me. Fortunately, I have other airline options to choose from when making future bookings, but this is not always the case for other people who live in the Isle of Man which is not good. Flybe is trying to relaunch itself under the connect/virgin brand, but this cabin baggage issue needs to be sorted out, as the aircraft lockers are far too small on both types of aircraft they use. Sadly, like others here, I will avoid using them until they can sort out their baggage policy to accommodate a more realistic cabin bag size/policy that better suits the needs of their customers.
