"It was an excellent experience at UMC"

It was an excellent experience at UMC, in D.C
It would not be been possible without the help and support from ACE.
We do get hands on experiences, get to see cases along with our doctor, and we are treated almost like a member of the team in the management of a case.
The doctor get us involved by doing case discussions, discussing the differential diagnoses and the various treatment options.
He is really very patient, listening to us, clearing our doubts, it's almost like a residency experience here.

"I took a Psychiatry Elective Rotation"

I took a Psychiatry Elective Rotation with Dr.V at Interfaith Medical Center and at his Private clinic through ACE. I can surely say that my rotation was very productive as I was able to gain a lot of exposure and knowledge of in patient Psychiatry. Students mostly spend time with residents at Interfaith and they are very helpful. The elective is hands on as you are able to take histories and perform examination under supervision of attending and residents. The private clinic is not a very good learning opportunity as most of the patients are there for refills but then you get to use the EMR over there which is also a learning experience. To sum up, the rotation is very productive and gives you a good idea of how in-patient psychiatry works. The only improvement this rotation need is more time being spent with the attending at interfaith.The people from ACE remained cooperative throughout the rotation. Jon and his team responded to all my questions and as guaranteed I was able to receive a good LOR from the doctor as well.

"Two thumbs up for ACE MD"

Did 2 rotations through ACE MD. Jon patiently answered all my queries, and helped me clear some misconceptions. The payment process went smoothly. I got a letter to show at the airport. (I already had a visa). He put me in touch with a person who provides housing to students rotating in NY. But what made me really happy working with ACE MD was how they accommodated my request to change my rotation from Psych to FM just one week prior to start. They agreed to do it without any hassle at no extra cost. My first rotation was in psych in NY with Dr. V. He is super cool and nice to students. We were not treated like observers, he let us examine patients and type in the EMR both at hospital and clinic. He gave me an excellent LoR. My second rotation was at Chicago with Dr. J. He is a great guy who is very passionate about teaching. We not just learnt medicine, but also a lot about how to deal with insurance and malpractice issues that exist in the USA. We got plenty of hands on experience with patients at hospital and clinic. He and his colleague would give us regular feedback on how to improve our EMR notes. I cannot recommend this rotation enough. Overall, I am very happy with Jon and his colleagues at Ace MD for arranging the rotations at a reasonable cost, their prompt responses and flexibility. Highly recommended.

"What can I say of ACE?"

What can I say of ACE? All the team is kind and pleased to help you at any moment. Ace follows you in all the steps of the process. I almost finish my rotation, and I'm happy with it. I have the opportunity to know about the American System, put into practice what I learn when I was studying for Step 2 CS and CK. I highly recommend work with ACE, they work close to you and want you to be happy with your decision.

The program helps you throughout the process, from the time you apply for Visa, to get in touch with your preceptor and during the month you are rotating. You have the advantage of choosing which state you want to go and what specialty. You can have your doubts, because I also had them, but all the time you gonna have contact with the coordinators, so you can trust. I am from Panama and I did my rotation in Chicago, Illinois. El programa te ayuda durante todo el proceso, desde la hora que solicitas Visa, en ponerte en contacto con tu preceptor y durante el mes que estés rotando. Tienes la ventaja de escoger a qué estado quieres ir y a que especialidad. Puedes tener tus dudas, porque yo también las tuve, pero todo el tiempo tienes contacto con los coordinadores, puedes confiar. Soy de Panamá e hice mi rotación en Chicago, Illinois.

"Best experience"

I really enjoyed and gained very good clinical exposure and clinical skills. The doctor (Dr. S) I was assigned to, was absolutely brilliant and I consider him the best teacher. The work place and hospital rotations boosted up my interest and ended up wanting to experience more of the amazing work. Thank you for giving me such wonderful opportunity to explore and experience clinical knowledge and skills.
