"Terrible"
Terrible, Molly Maid are total rip off merchants. I rarely read or feel strongly enough to write a review regarding bad customer service, but now I wish I had read the reviews about Molly Maid before employing them! They are an expensive company but we were happy to use them because they seemed professional and well organised, the reality was very different. Their standard of cleaning is average at best, and varies hugely depending on how much they are rushing (their record being 37 minutes start to finish in a 3 bedroom house). We were charged £70 for this privilege and they regularly left areas dirty. They also break things often (this has become a regular occurrence, I assume because they were rushing so much) and do not ever adhere to their own "˜policy' of informing you - not once were we informed before we discovered the damage. Most recently we were accused of lying abot an incident, despite video evidence. Their customer service is awful, they refuse to provide complaints procedures and pressure you to drop a complaint/accept a cheap repair when you push the issue. I feel very sad that this company are able to continue being out there, ripping people off. Please avoid.

"Look elsewhere."
Molly Maid are expensive but I chose them because they sounded so professional: insured, trained staff that work in pairs, eco-products and vehicles etc. How wrong I was! I had two cleans with them and both times the staff were in a rush and were in and out very quickly (even for the deep clean) leaving my flat looking like a tornado had hit it. Clumps of hair and dust on the floor (do they sweep before mopping?), I opened the bin which had been clean to find they had removed the rubbish bag and it now contained an inch of rancid water. Only dry stuff goes in that bin so I can only guess they had started rinsing it, gotten distracted and put it back bagless and wet. They had moved my shoes and left them on top of my cream cushion, they had broken by socket, the hadn't touched the bathroom grout mold (I can have my entire bathroom sparkling in half an hour) and my flat looked worse than better. They clearly don't know what they're doing.

"MOLLY MAID - EASTLEIGH - AVOID"
Where to start.... Met with the delightful franchise and her 'second' several weeks ago to discuss a deep clean of my house.... we work long hours so this would be a treat and save me doing every weekend.... or so I thought..... I arranged for them to come in on the Friday and then a fortnightly clean thereafter... at c £66 (inc VAT) I had high expectations...... to be fair the first clean was fabulous and I was blown away, the house was beautiful, clean and fresh and I passed that feedback on to Elizabeth and to thank them for their hard work and looked forward to them saving me hard work and (essentially) time going forward..... Fast forward to the second clean.... (term used loosely) we arrived home from work on the Friday evening and I was grateful not to be faced with cleaning the house on my treasured day off.... well..... it was literally like someone had been in for 5 minutes, the kitchen floor was sticky, the walls had not been wiped (part of the service they brag about) my products in the bathroom and been bunched up together and no real signs of cleaning done ..... to add insult to injury, my husband found an empty bottle of 99p cleaning product left in our Sons bedroom (not the professional cleaning products they state they use)... I was incredibly disappointed and decided to speak to the Franchisee on Tuesday (due to BH) to raise my concerns and hopefully move forward..... she arranged to come round that day and address (I pointed out the coffee stain and she said would sort) I was happy with this and went about my work... around 4 pm I received a message that they had not had the time to come round and would do so the following day .... fair enough at least they were sorting..... Wednesday came and Molly Maid pitched up, flicked the hoover round and that was that (coffee stain left) and to be honest I couldn't find the energy to argue, (this lady is formidable to say the least) her invoice came in promptly (£66.00 inc VAT) and was paid (I did ask for the original team to clean on the next date required but received no response..... So Friday just passed I left the key out as usual and went off to work hoping that there would be no issues and happiness resumed.... came home.... no clean...no message...no nothing..... Obviously I was upset but thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and call on the Monday (today) to ask why....... SO THIS IS WHERE MOLLYMAIDS SHINE...... I called Elizabeth this morning to inquire as to why my house had not been cleaned......."ummm arrrr ummmm arrrr, you must have been missed of the timetable..." TIMETABLE????? We agreed initially every Friday fortnightly...!!! she obviously has no idea how to run a business or how to deal with (rightly so) complaints and her response..... "I think its best if we don't come anymore..." Damn right but just in case anyone out there reads this and thinks its value for money.... this is an estimate guess to where your money is going.... Cleaner (based on a team of 3) £8.00 (payroll costs NI/Hols etc £2.16) total £10.16 x 3 = £30.48 Insurance (guess) £4.00 Cleaning products (guess) £5.00 Total £39.50 Average charge £55.00 (+VAT) £66.00 For 1 hour clean (if that) A VERY dissatisfied customer

"AVOID AT ALL COST"
We paid Molly Maid Southport to do an exit clean on our rented property, the Landlord subsequently charged us for his cleaners to go and clean. I raised a complaint but despite their satisfaction guarantee they do not respond let alone rectify the problem. I wish I had looked at the review before employing them, I would have gone elsewhere and saved myself some money into the bargain.

"I wish there was a minus star to the"
I wish there was a minus star to the rating. They charged me a 55 quids for a totally shoddy job. 2 cleaners came and wrapped up atleast 2 hours job in 55 mins - one constantly cribbing about having cold, other being new. When asked to fix a few things, answer was oh! it's not going, oh! it's not covered. When the quotation was given, it was for the whole thing. The manager then offered me replacement service first & when I asked to book me in, the answer was we will come for rectification only. NEVER EVER going to take their service. Better to go with independent cleaners who charge less and work harder! Rubbish service.

"Very poor service from Molly maids in"
Very poor service from Molly maids in Bexley and with no customer service skills at all by managtment. Paid £93 for an okay clean but for the cleaners to turn up late. When I tried to make a formal complaint and asked where the cleaners were I was advised that they were not going to 'argue' with me nor offer any refund and that they 'could not just turn up at all if that is better'. Absolutely appalling tell your friends not to use and avoid them. This is not the premium service that is promised. Even when I explained the reasons I need reliable cleaners because my daughter is very unwell there was no human empathy or kindness or apology.

"First time using Molly Maids - never again!"
First time using Molly Maids - never again. Booked 2 cleaners for 3hours, got 2 cleaners for 2hours - cost was £136. I had booked a Spring Clean and it was agreed over the phone what I expected and confirmed by their website explanation of a Spring Clean. They only did a normal "˜top' clean therefore a complete waste of time and money. I did complain and the gentleman I spoke to did offer to send them back but I refused and did the Spring Clean myself!

"Do not use"
Charged us £85 for an initial clean of a small bed house....They turned up 45 mins late with no apology. Dirt and dust left in more places than not, no floor mopping, wiped around items as opposed to cleaning underneath and the shower still had shampoo all in it! Also they hadn't even made the bed. Have asked for a reclean or refund. Will not be using again.

"close call...."
I came across Molly maid whilst looking for a cleaner and thankfully after reading these reviews I have not taken them on. So Thankyou. The reason for this was that even before reading these reviews something just did not feel right. I felt it was odd that they could not provide a quote without seeing me first, which the other companies I approached did so with no problems. I felt that my request for a discussion over the phone quickly turned into bombarded calls/ texts demanding my address, at a time I had not even agreed too. It was the hard sale tact. If the company were so desperate to have me as a customer, and spending so much time on one person, which felt like boarderline harassment, then perhaps they are not so busy and therefore not very popular after all. And then I did some research and found these reviews. That was a close call!

"Massively overpriced and bang average"
Massively overpriced and bang average, I was quoted £330 for a full spring clean and the girls were finished in 4 hours......costing me £41.5/hr per cleaner. The service was very average lots of things were missed, damage to paintwork, damage to door stops - all of which I have mentioned to the francise manager - who is now being very defensive I would never use them or recommend them again - I have now written to head office to see what they say. And apparently now because I didn't fully check before the girls left - it's now my fault...
MOLLY MAID
The very first MOLLY MAID clean was carried out in 1979 in Mississauga, Ontario, by Adrienne and Chris Stringer. The Stringers believed that busy families and homeowners would rather spend time on more enjoyable pursuits than cleaning their home. It didn’t take long for MOLLY MAID to become a household name in Mississauga and the surrounding area. One reason was thanks to our easily identifiable pink and blue corporate colours, used on our cars and uniforms. Even today many people know MOLLY MAID by these distinctive colours, as well as by our commitment to providing the highest quality house cleaning service possible. Since 1979, MOLLY MAID has expanded across Canada into the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Portugal. This year, MOLLY MAID staff will perform more than 2 million cleans worldwide. We’re proud of our history and of Adrienne and Chris for starting what has now become one of the UK’s most successful companies and endearing brands.Location
