After over 25 years riding experience I contacted Lexham for a quote on bike insurance. They claimed I lacked experience and would not quote. I passed my test when I was 17 (over 36 years ago) and in the last 28 years have ridden for 24 of those years. In that time I haven't made a single claim. I've also passed my advanced motorcycle test with the IAM. In fact I've passed 3 advanced driving tests. A few years ago I put my bike into storage for a few years and now have found the insurers are saying all my NCB has lapsed - apparently it expires if you don't reinsure within 2 years. That was news to me. That's bad enough, but with my background to have a broker turn round and claim I lack experience is an insult. I wouldn't use them now even if they could come up with a decent quote. They clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

This company was by far the cheapest. Very efficient when I telephoned to get insurance. Hopefully everything will go just as well should I ever have to make a claim. Highly recommended.
