"JUST shocking from start to finish"

JUST shocking from start to finish. I will never use this company again, incompetent, shocking customer service and thieves. I have never had such bad service. Not willing to take ownership for mistakes and poor service. Oh and not to mention not returning my equipment and thinking that's ok and normal.

"Rude and Patronising."

Unfortunately when you take out a Policy with a company such as Halifax, they are often underwritten by companies like Ageas. So you may well be unwittingly blundering into the Ageas nightmare. Rude, confrontational staff, with zero empathy or communication skills. Incompetent, argumentative and patronising. Avoid at all costs and check who underwrites your insurance before bagging a bargain on a Comparison site!

"Whatever you do avoid this insurance"

Whatever you do avoid this insurance company at all costs! Until recently I had my Home & buildings Insurance with Ageas. However, when i had to claim for a leak in my bathroom which caused water damage to the ceiling below. They asked me for pictures, dimensions and quotes for the work required. I provided all of this and was told that I would have to pay the £100 excess on this, which was what I expected. However, after chasing them for weeks with phone calls and emails they eventually responded to say that a surveyor would visit my property to inspect the damage/ price up the works required. The surveyor was rude and ignorant, and after Inspecting the damage said he needed to go to his car and price the works required. 2 weeks later after chasing Ageas (constantly!) I received an email from the surveyor saying their surveyor has denied my claim due to the leak occurring over a period of time rather than just a single escape of water. Apparently the obviously "impartial" surveyor on their pay role denied the claim on Ageas's behalf. I currently have the bath panel removed with a drip tray underneath so that every time anyone has a bath or shower this has to be emptied to prevent further water damage to the ceiling below. It is a requirement of having a mortgage to have house/ buildings insurance. So lesson learned, that Ageas are happy to take your monthly payments, but if there is a claim to pay for then you can forget it! money for old rope as the saying goes. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

"my son has landlord insurance with thiscompany ageas"

my son has landlord insurance with this company, due to the bad weather in February his tenants complained of the roof leaking my son contacted them as he thought his insurance would cover this problem , after numerous phone calls asking when the loss adjuster will be coming out so he could get it fixed asap as the tenants had 2 children was was only 2 weeks old, it took 2 weeks for the loss adjuster to finally come out to asses the roof, and on numerous phone calls to ageas they said they are now waiting for the report, he was phoning them everyday to try to find out what was happening as the tenants were asking when its going to be fixed, ageas still said they waiting for report, so after one month they said its due to next doors and also wear and tear and its not covered, i have also renewed my policy at the same time as i had 14 days to cancel but due to them dragging this on it went over the cancellation time he has never made a claim in 12 years hes had building insurance to be let down when he needed help, due to this it looks like he is loosing his tenants this has caused a lot of inconvenience due to this company, he has had to get the work done himself and he is not happy with ageas letting him down, customer service is also not good for this company saying they will phone him they never did son had to keep phoning them, avoid this company

"Onwards and Upwards."

I was involved in an RTC a few years back, when another driver pulled out in front of me and I was unable to stop in time. After making sure everyone was ok, I had the police come out to obtain statements and record the incident. At the time, the other driver admitted fault, which was fine. There was no major damage to my vehicle, however, the other driver looked as though they were going to need a new door. I heard nothing more for months - then I received my annual renewal of the policy. Which had increased in price, significantly. A letter accompanied, explaining this was due to the claims experience on my policy. I thought this a mistake and called to have it corrected. However, I was told that the other driver had changed her mind and claimed on my policy. Ageas accepted liability on my behalf...without asking me...or notifying me...or asking for proof. I was told by the claims "negotiator" that they just assumed that I was at fault because I was younger than the claimant. I appealed the decision (which was essentially pointless), giving my version of events, complete with diagrams and witness statements including the police officers report supporting my version. I was promised regular updates, which I never received (but my actual broker was amazing, and tried their damnedest to get information) and had to ultimately wait approximately 6 months to find that nothing had changed and the decision was final (my fault). During that time, my car insurance lapsed and i had the start my no claims all over again with a black mark against my name forever. Easily one of the worst insurance companies (if you can call it an insurance company) ever. Definitely the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Insurance brokers are shocked when I tell them, but never surprised when I tell them it was Ageas. And they often suggest that I should of taken legal action. I think that speaks for itself. I like to think that they just made a monumental mistake and have a hard time admitting it, as opposed to how they treat all their younger clients. Onwards and upwards.
